Aptech's global technology competition, TechWiz 7 – The World Tech Championship, is providing students with an opportunity to transform their technical knowledge into practical solutions, explore emerging technologies, and demonstrate their creativity on a global stage.
Initiated in 2019, TechWiz is a global IT competition designed to test students' technical proficiency, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities through practical, project-based challenges.
As the competition progresses, students are encouraged to move beyond classroom learning and apply their skills to real-world technology problems.
Visit the official TechWiz website to explore the competition and its latest announcements.
TechWiz 7 features ten competition categories covering a wide range of technology disciplines, giving eligible students the opportunity to participate according to their course modules and areas of specialization.
The categories include:
Web Innovation Unleashed: Innovative web development and digital experiences.
End-to-End Web Solutions: Complete web applications integrating front-end, back-end, and database technologies.
Multi-Platform App Computing: Application development across platforms.
Smart IoT Revolution: Connected devices and Internet of Things solutions.
Data Science Intelligence Arena: Data analytics, interpretation, and intelligent applications.
NextWave AI and ML: Artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
Ethical Cyber Horizons: Cybersecurity and responsible digital protection.
Unity Game Foundry: Interactive game development using Unity.

Students can review the eligibility requirements and category-specific information on the official TechWiz guidelines page.
One of the defining features of TechWiz is its emphasis on practical learning.
Participants work in teams to develop solutions based on the Software Requirements Specification (SRS), which outlines the requirements and technical expectations for their selected category.
According to the official guidelines, teams must comprise four to six eligible students, and each student or team may participate in only one category.
The competition also emphasizes responsible technology development. AI tools may be used only where permitted by the applicable category guidelines or SRS, and students are expected to meaningfully develop, test, verify, and appropriately disclose AI-assisted work.
Through this experience, students have the opportunity to strengthen their technical skills while developing teamwork, communication, project planning, and time management capabilities.
Read the official competition guidelines for the complete participation and submission requirements.
TechWiz recognizes students' efforts and achievements through certificates, cash prizes, and scholarship opportunities.
According to the official Rewards & Recognitions page, all participants receive certificates of participation, while winners and runners-up are eligible for certificates of merit, cash prizes, and scholarship coupons for LUC Pathway Programs.
The published cash prizes per team, per category, are:
Winner: $500
First Runner-Up: $300
Second Runner-Up: $200
Projects are evaluated by subject-matter and industry experts. The official guidelines describe a selection process that may include shortlisting projects and conducting interviews before the final winners are determined.
At Aptech Computer Education Abeokuta, we believe that technology education goes beyond learning programming languages and software applications. It is about equipping learners with the practical knowledge, confidence, and problem-solving abilities needed to contribute meaningfully to the digital economy.
Competitions such as TechWiz reflect the importance of hands-on learning and encourage students to explore new technologies, collaborate with others, and transform ideas into working solutions.
As TechWiz 7 continues, we celebrate the spirit of innovation, creativity, and continuous learning that drives the technology industry forward.
The next breakthrough could begin with a student, an idea, and the determination to build something meaningful.
Your journey into technology starts with what you learn — and grows with what you create.
